Sultanahmet Cesme Hotel

Loved the turkish breakfast buffet, had a wonderful selection of fruits, vegetables, and cheeses, coffee (from an espresso machine) turkish tea, toast, bread, eggs, sausages and fruit juice, among other things. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed; and same with the bathrooms. The bidet toilet was a welcome surprise after long travels without! Loved the old-world charm of the hotel and it's styling, and the incredibly friendly and attentive staff who were so much help to us. The gorgeous rooftop terrace had an almost panoramic view of the bosphorus. The location in Sultanahamet was unparalleled, and not only was it a short walk from big sights like hagia sophia, and the blue mosque, it was also surrounded by restaurants and cafes, and a short walk from the tram stop.

A very big Thank You to this family-owned hotel who went out of their way to ensure our time in Istanbul was memorable. They went above and beyond in every way, especially their personal service, excellent local knowledge and advice. The bedroom/bathroom was as described and spotlessly clean. Having stayed in Sultanahmet before, I can say this hotel is perfectly placed - on a small, quiet street and in easy walking distance to the Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar and quieter, less-tourist-crowded areas. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. Highly recommended - we'll definitely return. Sheelagh Holgate

Incredible service!!!!! No request was too big. Our experience was spectacular. Breakfast was fresh and hearty each morning. Rooms were cleaned daily. Such a central location (5 minutes to the Blue Mosque) but still super quiet at night. The front desk is always manned and ready to assist however they can. If you are deciding between a few hotels (like we were) make the right decision and pick here.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It's nice and easily accessible to major attractions, close to several restaurants, shops, markets and masjids. The family who own the hotel are very warm and hospitable and always ready to assist. The lovely lady and man who help maintain the building are wonderful as well. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Istanbul. Thanks everyone!

Central located family owned hotel in the touristic part of old Istanbul, at walking distance to the main touristic attractions (Blue Mosk, Agia Sofia, Sultan Palace, Old bazaar, etc.), excellent buffet breakfast and access to the roof top terrace with amazing view on the Marmara sea. Very large and confortable double bed. Extremely helpful and friendly owner and front desk managers. Very good value for the money we paid
